After working with so many little ones with both language and articulation delays, I needed something that targeted sounds in isolation so that we could begin building words and have shared foundational reference points. Particularly for children

I like to keep data for specific grammatical structures. I also like to be able to monitor learning of targets over time. I tend to see my students directions across the table from me, so I designed the pages so target sentences were right side up

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Since 1999 I've worked for Marion County Special Education Cooperative. This cooperative serves 5 school districts within the county and every year is a little different than the previous one for me. For the last 8 years I have served on the infant-toddler team and was the co-coordinator for early intervention services the past 4 years. In addition to this I have served 1-2 school districts from preschool through high school. So, needless to say, I have gotten a lot of experience in so many areas.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in utilizing repetition and having data to drive the decisions I make in the direction of my therapy.
