TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've been a pediatric SLP for 15 years. I started in a pediatric outpatient setting, but in 2014 I began to provide school-based teletherapy services. I also became a Listening and Spoken Language Specialist/Auditory Verbal Therapist, as accredited by the AG Bell Academy, in 2017.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I attended Truman State University (Kirksville, Missouir) from 2002-2006 for my Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Disorders with a minor in Spanish. I attended Fontbonne University (St. Louis, Missouri) to earn my Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology with an emphasis on Children who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I am originally from Columbia, Missouri but I have lived in Johnston, Iowa (a suburb of Des Moines) for 15 years. I am married and have a 9-year-old daughter, a 6-year-old son, and an 11-year-old dog. In addition to creating materials to use in therapy and share with others, I love to play with my kids, organize and decorate the house, attempt Pinterest recipes, take walks, and have BBQs with neighbors and friends. Thanks for stopping by!
