TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Hello and welcome!! I'm Sommer, a teacher from Queensland Australia. I have been teaching for 13 years, most in lower primary, with a recent move to Year 4! I am also a mummy to 3 beautiful children. My son has autism and a visual impairment and he is the inspiration behind a great deal of my resources. I absolutely love what I do and my passion is creating resources that make any learner feel like they're succeeding and having fun! Learning support, early years education and adapting for special needs is where my heart lies.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in stimulating, engaging and play based learning in the lower years. You don't get to be a child for long and school should be where you learn without knowing you are learning. I love my classroom to be bright, colourful and visually informative to my students, especially those who may not be able to read just yet.
