TEACHING EXPERIENCE

My teaching experience began in 2006. I enjoy teaching Graphic Design, Photography and International Baccalaureate Art at Fairview High School and a variety of other art, physical education and technology classes for Boulder Valley School District Online in Boulder Colorado.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love working with people and have a passion for revising and evolving my teaching methods. I am excited about opportunities that STEAM and new technology offer in the field of education. Most of my lessons are hands on project based and are in alignment with state standards. My grading format is standards based.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

My own art, photography and design work has been featured in a number of local art shows in the Boulder County area. I have a photograph in a national level traveling exhibit. I have written and received numerous grants for funding art projects.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

My Undergraduate Degree is a B.S. In Graphic Design with a Minor in Marketing. My Masters Degree is in Education with an emphasis in K-12 Art Ed. I am a certified International Baccalaureate Art Teacher I am a certified Career and Technology Education Teacher

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Throughout my teaching career, I have taught Digital Art & Design 1 & 2, Photography 1 & 2, IB Art, Portfolio Art, Arts of the World, Digital Photography, Drawing & Painting, Aerobic Walking, Yoga, Business and Marketing. Outside of teaching I enjoy making my own art, running, biking, skiing, snowboarding, swimming and spending time with friends and family. I feel very lucky to be a part of TPT and hope you are inspired by my lessons!
