I am currently in my ninth year of teaching Spanish at the high school level. In these 9 years, I have taught levels 1-4 using a variety of textbooks and ancillary materials. Prior to teaching high school Spanish, I also performed one-on-one and group tutoring in Spanish, SAT preparation, and personal organization. I recently attended International Baccalaureate (IB) Training which was a great experience!
If you walked into my class, you would see that every task is geared to actively engaging ever student in the classroom. I have an extensive student participation program and base my lessons on the three modes of communication (interpretive, interpersonal, and presentational). I perform summative and formative assessments as well as quarterly portfolios.

I graduated from CD East High School in Pennsylvania in 1998 and attended Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts. There, I doubled majored in International Economics and Spanish and earned a Bachelor's degree in 2002. I went on to the University of Virginia to earn my Master's in Urban Planning, when the call of teaching came to me. I left in the middle of my program to pursue my dream of being a teacher.
