TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have nearly 20 years in education, and I've taught middle school math and physical science, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Probability and Statistics, and Algebra, Functions, and Data Analysis (VA).

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like to include as many hands-on activities as I can in my classes to provide experiences with math. I feel that if students have an experience to go with the math, it would be more easily remembered. I love tricking them into learning! :-)

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Math Department Lead Teacher July, 2011-present Woodside High School Teacher of the Year 2011

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated with a BS in Chemistry and Math Education from Juniata College in 2001, and I completed my Master's Degree in Instructional Technology Curriculum Integration from St. Joseph's University in 2011. I possess an Instructional II license in Pennsylvania and a Master's License in Virginia in both Mathematics and Chemistry.
