Since the year 2000 I have taught K-9 art and drawing skills. Most of my experience has been in the public school system but I have taught Homeschool,Adult Education and Teacher Professional Development as well. I have developed a drawing program that helps the learner gain confidence in learning how to draw. I have written 3 "How To Draw" art books as well as numerous lesson plan ideas.
My teaching style is directed, sequential and supportive.
My Photography business was selected for the Small Business of the Year 2007 award in the city of Chilliwack, British Columbia.
I am a Bachelor of Arts Graduate from the University of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. I also hold a Graphic Design Certificate. I am a professional photographer and attend numerous seminars each year.
In addition to teaching drawing skills I also teach water colour painting, pastels and charcoal. I have taught photography to both adults and children. I work with our local Brain Injury association as well as with children with special needs to teach art and photography. I have also illustrated several books for kids and educational posters.
