I have over 14 years of experience as a classroom teacher at the K-12 and college levels as well as over 10 years of experience in educational leadership with an emphasis on instructional leadership, literacy, and professional learning. I have taught in face-to-face, blended, and in 100% online environments. I also have several years of experience facilitating workshops and presentations at the local, state, and national levels.
I am also a highly "connected" educator and I enjoy sharing and learning with my PLN through my blog (http://ed421.com) and on Twitter @ssandifer.
I focus on technology-infused inquiry and project-based learning that is personalized, connected, and blended as much as possible for each individual learner. I incorporate research-based best practices that work for groups as well as individual learners, and I am influenced heavily by whole-child approaches to learning such as Montessori and Reggio Emilia.
