TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I taught in inner-city settings as well as suburban settings for seventeen years. I earned a Masters of Education degree from Tufts University and I am currently pursuing another masters in technology education.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Based on the diversity of my experiences, I tend to shape my style according to the learner's needs. I have used direct instruction, constructionists, and a naturalist style.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Teacher of the Year 1994 Wesley Elementary Teach for America consultant 1994 Founded student entrepreneurial program that integrates philanthropy with curriculum. Donated over $20,000 to local and national charities including The Red Cross for Hurricane Katrina victims.
