TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've taught for 13 years at one building, mostly upper elementary but I have experience in 1st and 2nd grade. I love teaching children!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I have a hands-on, project based style. I try to connect learned to real world applications, things my students can relate to, and with doing this I'm better able to reach all learners.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I was awarded Teacher of the Year for the 2002-2003 school year. It was my 4th year teacher. I was very honored. Also winning Teacher of the Year from the VFW hall in 2014 and Champion of Youth Award in 2013 & 2014!

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have my Bachelors Degree from University of Michigan and my Masters Degree in Reading and Language Arts from Oakland University.
