TEACHING EXPERIENCE

In various capacities I have taught grades 1-12 over my career. Most recently I have been teaching the 4th grade in Northern California, so many of my products focus on elementary school. I am now transitioning into my new role as a Middle School STEAM/Math teacher, so I will now be creating new products focused on the middle grades.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like to have fun and be creative in my classroom. I like to say that my teaching style is "controlled chaos". If you pop in to my classroom it might look like the students are all over the place doing different things, but that is by design. Every student knows their task, how they are participating in their learning, and is motivated to tackle any challenge. I like to use Project-Based Learning activities, gamification and game-based learning, critical thinking, and real world applications to teach my content.
