Welcome to the Stones of Erasmus! - I have been an educator since 2008. I have concentrated my work in independent schools both in Louisiana and in New York City. I have taught English Language Arts and Humanities-based classes to both Middle, High School, and Undergraduate students.
Everything I do centers around writing, reading, and reaching out through art, letters, ideas, and my especial love for a good cup of coffee with milk - no sugar. I make lessons that promote critical thinking. I like to select texts that get me and students to go deeper - so the resources I have added here on TpT reflect that philosophy. I'd love to know how you are using the resources I have created - especially if you have any insight or feedback.
DeRance Philosophy Scholarship - 2000-2001
I graduated with a Master's in Philosophy from the New School for Social Research in New York City and I have a Master's in English from Southeastern Louisiana University. My Bachelor's degree is from both Saint Joseph Seminary College and the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium in Liberal Arts and Philosophy, respectively.
I grew up in Southern Louisiana so, of course, my heart beats to the rhythm of the Mardi Gras Mambo.
