TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I taught English at the middle school level for four years. Next, I was a math coach at the elementary level. I taught fourth grade five years, then moved to the instructional support teacher role, which in my district is a mix between a reading specialist and a literacy coach role. Most recently I have taken the role of gifted support teacher. I am loving it!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I always strive to make engaging lessons and activities. If my students are not engaged, they are not learning. I am also a mom of two young children, with a third on the way; because of this, I want to create resources that are ready to use and help to develop a consistent structure in my classroom on which students can depend.
