TEACHING EXPERIENCE

For the last 13 years, I have worked with students of all ages and in diverse settings. For the last six years, I have taught the second and third grades. I am a reading specialist as well as a general childhood education teacher. I have also led teacher development workshops on the topics of inclusion and student engagement, and assisted in graduate level courses.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am a child-centered teacher who believes in a balance between careful assessment based teaching and open student driven inquiry. In my classroom, I strive to provide students with structure and support, so that creative project-based learning can take place. I believe in collaboration between teachers, and I have had the pleasure of teaching alongside many excellent teaching partners.
