TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught ELA classes for nine years, including English I, English II PAP, and English IV. In addition to classroom experience, I also tutor college students who need additional writing assistance.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I take a humanities approach to teaching literature. I believe that by showing students the social, political, and historical context of a piece of literature, I am able to help them see meaning in the reading and develop a connection to the text. By having this deep connection to the text, students will naturally be able to generate their own thoughts in their writing.
