I taught English for five years in the regular classroom before becoming certified in special education and teaching for six years at facilities for at-risk youth who had been adjudicated to the justice system. Now I've returned to the public school system and teach special education English.
In my classroom, I combine high expectations with lots of support, leading my students to feel confident in their power to prove their proficiency!
