TEACHING EXPERIENCE

*17 years experience as an Educator. *Worked 8 years as an Educator for Fairfax County in Virginia I have Orff level I & II and Kodaly Training *Band camp instructor *Private music teacher

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like children to experience a hands on approach to learning. I do this by playing learning games, singing and teaching through movement activities. When children are having fun, they want to learn more.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

*Children's Book Author *Save the Music Educator on Fox *Dean's List honor *Blue Vase Award for selling life insurance *Piloted a Summers String Camp for Baltimore Symphony Orchestra

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Meet Mrs. Stucki, a published author and a successful elementary music teacher. She wrote a very entertaining storybook for the 100 Days of School Celebration called “Oh No, Stickers, Stickers, Everywhere!” Her book gets kids learning to skip count by multiples of fives throughout this funny story. Sherry also composes music for other teachers and has successfully piloted a Summer Strings Camp for the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. Mrs. Stucki has a Bachelor’s Degree from Eastern Michigan University, a degree in Music Education from Concordia College, specialized music certificates in Schulwerk-Orff Levels I and II from Ohio State University and musical training in Kodaly methodology.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I write music for hanbells, support the Boys Scouts of America, and love to cook, spend time with my family, church and friends.
