We believe that an education should help empower humanity. When your work can positively influence a child’s future, you’re driven to do more every day–and do it better than ever before. This connection with students is a source of endless motivation for our entire company, from the warehouse team, to customer service and technology, to the artists in our graphic design department. We may lead the market at creating student engagement, but we’re far from satisfied and too ambitious to stand still.
OUR MISSION To create engaging learning experiences that touch the heart and enable students to become critically-thinking, responsible citizens.
More than 26,000 schools in all 50 states and in more than 4,000 districts are letting Studies Weekly help them make a difference. Many state departments of education in diverse places such as Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama, Florida, the U.S. Virgin Islands and the country of Jamaica–just to name a few–have implemented statewide “textbook” adoptions of Studies Weekly. The entire Studies Weekly family would love the opportunity to help your school or district make the Learn to live! difference.
Paul David Thompson FOUNDER, 32 YEARS AN EDUCATOR, MAY 18, 1936 – JULY 4, 2013 Studies Weekly began in 1984 when fourth grade teacher Paul Thompson needed a state history textbook to use in his class. He decided to write his own state history textbook — in a weekly magazine format — and Studies Weekly was born.
