TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Sharon has always loved art. When she was a child, she was drawing pictures of her favorite toys and characters. As an adult, she picked up her sketchbook from time to time while she pursued a career in teaching. Her classroom showed evidence of her creativity and art. In 2005, when she had her first child, Sharon started dreaming about taking painting lessons. Her family moved to Lancaster city, a few blocks away from art row, where Sharon enjoyed visiting the galleries of her favorite local artists. Sharon hoped to study under one of them. However, Sharon put all her energy into providing a nurturing environment for her children and family. As her children started school, Sharon again started dreaming of painting lessons. In 2016, she began exploring watercolor through YouTube tutorials. Her idea was to paint a watercolor for each family member’s birthdays throughout the year, as a way to develop her skills. January’s gift was very simple, focusing on color. By March, Sharon had painted a landscape for her brother. In June, Sharon developed an original composition for her father. She began posting her work on Facebook and got complimentary feedback from friends. Soon friends started asking about prints for sale and inquiring about commission work. Sharon invites you to become part of her growing family of supporters.
