I have been a classroom teacher in Miami-Dade county for 11 years and the second grade chairperson for the past 7 years. My forte is Reading, Language Arts, and Writing in the primary setting. I love getting the students' comprehension levels to sky rocket by the end of second grade.
I love to use Howard Gardner's Multiple Intelligences teaching style in my classroom. Not all students learn at the same speed or in the same way. I like to use a lot of student surveys to learn about my students' differing learning ways. I also love to use brain learning strategies in the classroom. Get up, wake up that brain, and learn!

Along with a love for teaching students, I have an affinity for igniting a passion in teachers both novice and veteran. I love inspiring other teachers and reminding them why we initially got into the profession of teaching. I love sharing ideas with like-minded educators and being a life long learner in and out of the classroom.
