I worked with students K-5th in a public school Montessori program for 9 years. Then I worked in interrelated K-5 Special Education for 3 years. I've been back working in Montessori for three years.
I try to make instruction interactive and fun. Students tend to retain information if they enjoy learning about a subject. I do this by connecting lessons to student's personal experiences and world base knowledge. I instruct using differentiated tools and techniques for visual, kinetic, sensory, and auditory learners. I also use manipulatives and technology where possible.
