I had partnered with a virtual school to teach my son for two years, for 2nd and 3rd grade, when I decided to go to full-time home school teacher for 4th. I love to look for new ideas for teaching my very kinesthetic, math-brained son, so I constantly network ideas from the internet and books. I love books. When I realized I was already generating classroom material, I decided to share it on Teachers Pay Teachers. If I was looking for it, perhaps someone else is, too.
Eclectic, concentrating on hands-on, interactive teaching. I read aloud a lot, as well. My son drives my teaching, so I am always interested in ways to improve his reading and writing, as well as fill our school with hands-on experiments, outdoor activities, math-based learning, social skills learning, and engaging stories. I also teach him computer programming, piano, religion, and create space for him to just be a boy.
