I have taught English and Reading in a middle school setting for five years.
Keep it simple. Sometimes we complicate things. Build relationships with students. Then, gauge their understanding, engage them, support them, challenge them, & READ with them.

I've pressed pause after being in the middle school English and Reading classroom for five years, and I've had some reflection time. These are a few of my favorite things: (1) creating activities, tasks, and lessons that stretch & engage students, (2) perfecting these creations so that they flow well (& look great), & (3) enjoying every ounce of my weekends with friends and family. With Sunday Table Company in mind, my hope is to help you do the same.
