This is my 14th year as a special education in a high needs district. I started as a self-contained teacher and then became the building's resource room teacher. I now, co-teach in gen ed and still have a few resource room classes.
I am a very creative person, and love to bring that into the classroom. I find that making things gimmicky helps the kids remember things better. I love to draw and create things. I tend to use as much multi-sensory instruction as possible. The most important thing to my teaching style is forming relationships with my students. I find that when I have that, and they trust me, things go much smoother.
