Bad things happen to good people. What do we do when things become awful? In this issue of Superhero Sunday we look at Aquaman and Job. Both lost nearly everything but never gave up the fight for doing/believing what they felt was right.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching Children's Church for the past 7 years. The age group that I teach is from K-5th grade. In my experience, the Bible stories tend to wane the kid's attention. Therefore I have created a lesson that can be used for nearly all ages ranging from 1st grade to high school.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I have created a class called Superhero Sunday. Here we look at the likenesses and differences between characters out of the comics and the Bible. Each lesson opens with a brief history of the comic book character and an intro for the Bible character. The lesson then shifts between discussing what the characters have in common. Each topic goes into detail of the stories. The main differences are brought up afterward. Just before the conclusion there is a section on things to learn from the stories; lessons that can be applied to the lives of everyone.
