I am a second year teacher of middle school ELA. I work at an inner city, low socioeconomic, lage ELL population school.
Since I work with a large ELL population, it is essential that my lessons can be easily differentiated for the kiddos that need extra help, as well as the high fliers. My classroom is focused on collaboration and the backwards design model. The collaboration allows me to easily differentiate. The backwards design model ensures that my teaching is standards based and rigorous.

I graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2014 with a bachelors degree in elementary education. Go rebels!! Currently, I am earning a Master's degree from Walden University in Curriculum, instruction and assessment with a focus on backwards design curriculum.
I have an identical twin who teaches 1st grade. She works at an elementary school about a mile away from my school. We have a couple of sets of siblings that both have "Ms. Paddy" as a teacher!
