TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for over 7 years. I have taught in General Education 4-5th grades, Resource Learning Center grades 6-8, SDC 9-12, K-3 and 2-4. With a variety of experience I have collected several productive tools for organization and teaching.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I have high expectations. I believe in creating individual goals that support and motivate the student to achieve. I communicate high expectations and emphasize my student strengths and uniqueness. I expect each one of my students to go far in life, to dream big, and have a unique purpose in life. I strive to provide my students with the tools to be self-reflecting and self-advocating individuals. Self-directed learning boosts autonomy, self-determination though participation in goal setting, problem solving, and decision-making. Consequentially, if we give students the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the learning process, the outcome will be an amplified sense of ownership of their learning, their future. Ambition creates the possibility.
