I began teaching in 2007. I have taught every grade level and every subject area in elementary. I am currently working as a K-5 Academic Coach for our school system. I really love seeing the curriculum and academics at all grade levels from my position!
I believe all students can learn but that all students learn differently. It is up to me to research and find the best practices to encourage and foster a love of learning!
I was named Teacher of the Year in 2015 for my elementary school.
I have a B.S. degree in early childhood education, a M.S. degree in curriculum and instruction, and an educational specialist degree in elementary education. I also have a specialist degree in educational leadership. I love attending professional development opportunities as well as conducting my own research to find the most effective ways to teach all students!
I am married to a fourth grade social studies and math teacher. We are blessed with three beautiful children. Our oldest is in third grade, our middle is in second grade, and our youngest is in the 3 year old class at a local daycare. I love watching them grow and see how differently each of them learn!
