I began teaching in 1999. I have worked in two states, three districts, and have experience ranging from kindergarten to sixth grade. My heart is in first grade, where I have spent the majority of my career.
As an educator, I strive to empower each and every child to reach his full potential and encounter a successful, meaningful learning experience. I believe every child can reach his full potential when engaged and inspired. It is important to appeal to all students by meeting their unique needs and addressing many different learning styles with fun and hands-on learning experiences.

I am blessed with a sweet baby boy of my own who has given me a brand new lens on learning and development. I love being a teacher-mama!
