TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching Business and Information and Technology for more than 30 years at the secondary and post-secondary levels. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Education, a Master’s Degree in Business Education and 60 credits beyond my Master’s Degree. In addition I have earned my online teaching certification and have worked with the mentoring program for new teachers. I have taught both regular education and special education classes. My focus has primarily been in Accounting, Personal Finance, Marketing, Record Keeping, and technology related classes like Computer Applications, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Web 2.0 Tools. I pride myself in developing lessons that require higher level thinking skills including evaluation, synthesis and critical thinking skills. I also try to integrate reading skills into my lessons as often as possible.
