I have been a classroom teacher for 19 years. I have taught in independent, public, and charter schools for grades 6 - 12. I have taught the following courses: Sixth Grade Honors Math, 8th grade math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Algebra 3, Inductive and Deductive Geometry, Functions/Stats/Trig, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus, Business Math, Financial Algebra, Statistics and Problem Solving/Discrete Mathematics.
My teaching incorporates a lot of technology with the TI-graphic calculator families, Geometer's Sketchpad, and the TI-Connect series. I use a lot of PowerPoint presentations, ActiveInspire flipcharts and cooperative learning. My style is about discovery, and I do a lot of independent exploratory labs.
