I started my teaching career in primary grades, but I am currently team teaching as a Varying Exceptionalities Inclusion teacher in grades 3, 5, and 6. It is both a blessing and a challenge to work with a wide variety of students as well as multiple teaching partners.
The key to my teaching style is flexibility! The majority of my time is spent as "push-in" in another teacher's classroom. Finding ways to work collaboratively with teachers is the first step, and as staffing changes each year so do my teaching partners. Only after a partnership has developed can we truly address the needs of the special students that are a part of the inclusion process in our school.

I have a BA in Elementary Education K-6, with additional certification in Exceptional Student Education. I am currently working toward a Master's degree in Educational Leadership which I hope to finish before Fall 2016 when my oldest child will start college!
I am a wife and mom to two active teenagers. I spend many of my out of school hours at the sports fields or transporting children to play, coach and referee soccer and football. It is amazing what can be accomplished while waiting for a game to start!
