I have taught Spanish since 1998. I started in the high school but have been in the middle school for the past 8 years and love the craziness! I have taught levels ranging from 1 at the middle and high school to Immersion 10 at the high school. I have also spent extensive time volunteering in a Spanish immersion elementary school grades K-2. I currently hold a K-12 Spanish teaching license and my MAT with a focus in curriculum and development.
I am a tech savy teacher who takes risks with technology and activities as I expect the students to take risks with the Spanish language. My class is loud (we have to talk to learn the language!) and fun (the best kind of learning is fun!) but very well sequenced...organized chaos! By the end of the first semester of their first exposure to the language our students create 3 different paragraphs in Spanish about themselves without vocabulary sheets or me for assistance. It's amazing!

I am a mom of 3 Spanish speaking children who have all attended Spanish immersion elementary school. I am married to an amazing man. When I am not attending sporting events or watching my daughter with her traditional Colombian folklore dance troop then I spend a lot of my extra time (because I have so much!) working on learning about new technologies. I enjoy any and all technologies. I have a PC computer, Apple iPad and Galaxy S5 (Andriod). I cover all markets for the technology passion inside me.
