TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have 23 years total teaching experience. 14 years in elementary teaching K-4 Title Math 2nd-5th- 2 years Social Studies 7-8th for 3 years. Coaching Instructional Coaches 4 years.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My experiences as a child clearly influenced me to pursue education and teaching quickly became my passion. My number one goal has been to make school a positive experience for all my students. In a world often filled with chaos, I am one of the few stable factors in my students’ lives. I believe IF my students feel “wanted” in school and safe to take risks in my classroom, they will increase self-esteem and reach new heights. I'm currently working with adults in our teacher leadership program implementing Instructional Coaching to impact student learning.
