I've been teaching ESL since 1986. I now have the pleasure of teaching at the school I went to so I work with many of my former teachers! It's great, I love it!
I love to teach ESL the way I learned... no books! I use as many different resources as I can come up with to make my classes entertaining and interesting for my kiddos.

When I was 10 my dad was transferred overseas and we lived in Texas for a few years. I got to experience the american school system (which I loved), and couldn't help but compare the different aspects of the school system I had known until then with the ones I was being introduced to. I am now back in my country, Venezuela, and try to bring that experience into my classrooms. It makes it so much more entertaining to offer my students a peek at something new!
I am a nurse, specialized in cardio and respiroratory therapy, but english has always been such a great part of my life that I love teaching ESL. Teaching 1rst grade kiddos is and added bonus!
