I have taught every level of math, from basic arithmetic to college calculus, for over twenty years. I have developed curriculum, assessments, and instructional materials for multiple publishing companies and for my own district since 1998. I currently teach AP AB Calculus at an urban high school in addition to acting as an Instructional Support Trainer for my district, where I work to train teachers on CCSS implementation and in pedagogical improvement on both the elementary and secondary levels.
I have taught in a variety of formats, ranging from traditional lecture to the new "flipped" courses now being offered. I believe that a teacher's style must continually evolve to meet the needs of his/her students. I also believe that success in mathematics stems from building connections to existing background knowledge and skills, and that equipping students with rich examples, timely feedback, and multiple opportunities to practice is the most effective way to learn new content.

I am a veteran AP AB Calculus teacher who has studied every released exam available to educators in an effort to help my students prepare for the format and difficulty of the AP exam. Toward that end, I have used what I've learned to create original lessons, AP style multiple choice questions, and free response problems along with their associated scoring rubrics. Pick any topic in the AP AB Calculus curriculum, and I can provide resources for instruction, assessment, and practice. I have developed materials in Word, PowerPoint, ExamView, and pdf formats. Prices are negotiable, depending on the time required to generate what you need. I have lessons and worked out solutions to all of my review problems available in free videos via my youtube channel, http://www.youtube.com/mrstotorica, should you wish to preview the quality of materials that I generate.
