TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I graduated in December of 2014 with my bachelor's degree in elementary and middle level education from the University of Northern Iowa. Although I am a new teacher, I am full of new ideas and add new energy to the teaching profession. I taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade my first 1/2 year of teaching, and now I teach 1st grade! :)

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe using hands-on activities is the best way to reach every student. Plus, it makes learning and teaching so much more fun! With saying this, I specialize in making hands-on games and activities for math.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

My teaching career has been made of many "shining teaching moments." Nothing will ever come close to the feeling when my students finally understand something because of a new technique I implemented with them or a new activity I created that helped them have their "A-HA" moment. These moments help me love the teaching profession and keep me driven to be the best possible teacher I can be.
