TEACHING EXPERIENCE

The Academy Charter School - Pittsburgh, PA Trigonometry 1 year Propel Charter School - Pittsburgh, PA 7th and 8th Grade Math 2 years

MY TEACHING STYLE

My FAVORITE style of teaching is hands on! However, I am a perfectionist, and if I conducted all of my lessons that way, I would never sleep! As a teacher, I was always looking for extra support for students who were struggling or needing tutored. My materials aim to reflect my own needs in the classroom.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

California University of PA (graduated 2011) Bachelor's in Liberal Studies Edinboro University of PA (graduated 2013) Master's in Middle and Secondary Education Math

I've always wanted to flip my classroom. How great would it be to have the ENTIRE class period to do a fun activity or work with kids while they complete math problems? I decided in 2019 that I was going to create a flipped classroom curriculum for 7th and 8th grade filled with video lessons, guided notes, and class activities. I hope you find it very useful!
