Through innovative teaching strategies that actively involve students and an engaging learning environment that takes the “fear” out of learning math, students learn math as it relates to real-world situations. From teaching fractions and percentages by shooting baskets, to making ice cream to calculate recipe proportions, to building a marble racetrack to study rates of travel, students grow to appreciate, understand, and even “love” mathematics.
