TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Enthusiastic, dedicated, organized educator with 17 years of experience with an outstanding knack for breaking down complicated math concepts in an easily understandable manner.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Through innovative teaching strategies that actively involve students and an engaging learning environment that takes the “fear” out of learning math, students learn math as it relates to real-world situations. From teaching fractions and percentages by shooting baskets, to making ice cream to calculate recipe proportions, to building a marble racetrack to study rates of travel, students grow to appreciate, understand, and even “love” mathematics. Skilled at isolating individual learning styles and adapting teaching methods accordingly and quick to provide tutorial & remediation for struggling students. Committed to professional and caring communication between parents, students, and staff members to foster a supportive school community.
