I began my career as a Kindergarten teacher in a private school on the Southside of Chicago. After 4 years, I moved to a Preschool For All program in the South Suburbs of Chicago for 7 years. I recently transitioned from teaching full time to subbing in district. This past summer I worked with our director and a fellow preschool teacher on writing an extension to our PFA Grant for a full-day four year old preschool classroom.
I prefer to use a multi-modality teaching style whenever possible. Over the years I have sought to infuse every lesson with visual and auditory cues, and opportunities for engaging all students in tactile and kinesthetic learning.

I attended Southwest Chicago Christian Schools from kindergarten through high school. I attended Northwestern College in Orange City, IA where I obtained a BA in Education, Early Childhood, and a Minor in Music.
I continue to live in the South Suburbs of Chicago with my husband, Nate, and our three children ages 4,2,and 7 months. In my rare free moments, I write, bike ride, read, scrapbook and play board games. I also play flute in our church orchestra and teach Sunday School to 3rd-5th graders.
