This lesson can easily be modified. The ideas presented have been used in my kindergarten classroom for nearly two decades and really have proven to be an effective way to introduce the concept of subtraction to young children.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

My husband and I have been passionate teachers since 1995. I have been teaching young children since 1995 and my husband Rob teaches high school math. Together we have the opportunity to begin children on their school journey and end with them soaring as high school seniors. There are several aspects of teaching kindergarten, high school and everything in between that have remained constant in our teaching careers... Teachers need to be organized. Students learn by doing and being active and engaged. Effective teachers believe in their students and must be ready for their teaching day!

MY TEACHING STYLE

We believe in giving our students a firm foundation in academics and in making their time in our classrooms the best experience in their school careers! We believe in TEAM work because Together Everyone Achieves More!
