TEACHING EXPERIENCE

This is my 10th year of teaching. It's hard to believe! Most of my experience has been in 2nd grade but I have taught others as well. I really love working with this age group because they still love coming to school and learning.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am definitely a hands on teacher and enjoy taking a seemingly boring topic and making it fun through creative assignments and memorable experiences. I am relatively strict in terms of behavior management but won't miss an opportunity to have a little fun along the way! I believe that creating positive relationships with my students is just as important as teaching.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

According to half of the mugs in my kitchen cabinet, I am "World's Best Teacher". Trust me, it is an honor to have been nominated so many times.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I earned my teaching degree at Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, New York. I have a dual credential in both elementary and special education. I continue my education through online courses of interest.
