TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Hi, friends! I am Steven, and I am just beginning my journey in education as a second-year teacher in middle school. I am in love with middle school, teaching, and creating engaging products for my students! I currently teach two classes of 6th grade English and 3 classes of 7th/8th grade Journalism/Newspaper.

MY TEACHING STYLE

With a class set of Chromebooks and a maximum of 25 to 30ish students in each of my classes, technology and hands-on learning rule! Stations and rotations are my favorite ways to teach. Everyday I teach 2 to 3 classes of English or Journalism/Newspaper.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I grew up in the public school system of Maryland. While in college, I had the opportunity to Major in Elementary Education with a Specialization in Language Arts, so basically I have the best of both worlds by being Elementary trained and certified to teach up to 8th grade.

My belief is that student success is my goal, and that it is my responsibility to develop lessons that are challenging and inspire my students to learn, to be critical thinkers, and to be problem solvers.
