I am a fourth grade teacher and I absolutely love it. This is my sixth year with fourth graders and I hope to stay there for awhile. I also have experience in fifth grade. What I love most about fourth graders is their ability to voice and express their opinions. They are still eager learners, but are able to be independent.
Anchor Charts are my go-to! Students are extremely engaged when making the charts in front of them and they constantly refer back to them months later. I try to make learning as visual and hands on as possible. My classroom is centered around cooperative learning and working with and learning from others. My goal is to make learning memorable and interesting every day.
I have been a member of several committees whose work has been published on how to engage families in the school environment.
I graduated with my Bachelors in Elementary Education in 2011. In 2014, I completed my Masters of Arts in Technology Integration (in the classroom) after only 8 months of attendance. In 2018, I completed my National Boards in Literacy.
I joined TPT, because I saw my students benefiting from the items I was creating for them to use and grow. However, this is not my first priority or full-time job. Teaching and my students come first.
