I have taught in Texas for 11 years in Conroe ISD. The majority of my teaching career has been in Kindergarten, but I have also taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades.
Students' needs are more important than my wants. I believe as educators we should be constantly learning and growing. I rarely teach the exact same thing each year. I try to improve my favorite lessons by giving them little "tweaks" to make them even better! I strive to make the most of the time I have with my students each day by eliminating "fluff" and busy work. I am a huge believer in student-centered learning and small group teaching through Guided Reading and Guided Math.
