MY TEACHING STYLE

I champion literacy instruction daily as I teach all content areas. From the minute students walk through the door it is purposeful learning to stretch every student. Student reading skills are developed by creating a integrated and differentiated balanced literacy environment to meet the individual needs of each student. My Motto I live by: "How far can I grow this child beyond grade level?"

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Trista Stamness, M.Ed and administrative license, is part-time executive coach for American Reading Company and formerly worked in the curriculum department for Rochester Public Schools in Minnesota. Continuous Improvement has always been a way of life as a Teacher, Administrator, and Success Coach. Having taught K-8 in large and small elementary schools, she brings a vast amount of experience in: Gifted and Talented, Title I, RTI, Reading standards, Professional Learning Community for data driven discussions, proper analysis interpretation of data for instructional change and coaching a building off not meeting AYP status. Her professional studies include: a balanced literacy approach to teaching Reading across the day, data based decisions to inform instructional changes, brain based learning and technology integration throughout all subjects. Her coaching is done with much vitality to help administrators and teachers succeed so students succeed; because she believes learning and growth of our students is what it is all about!
