Overall, I have 8 years of teaching experience. I taught at the elementary level for three years in California. I then moved to middle school for one year and then to high school for one year before moving to my current state of Missouri. In California, I taught pull-out resource classes. Since moving to Missouri, I have focused on mathematics, particularly algebra, at the high school level and taught pull-out Foundations of Algebra, Algebra I and Algebra II in addition to co-teaching general education algebra classes. I recently took a position as a functional skills teacher for our severely handicapped students. I look forward to developing materials that look age-appropriate and are accessible to my students.
I have a very structured classroom with clearly defined processes and expectations. I use task analysis to ensure students are successful and look forward to more small group stations in my new room.
