TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Dr. Alice Christie, Arizona State University President’s Professor Emeritus, received her Ph.D. in Educational Technology and Language and Literacy in 1995. She served in the College of Teacher Education and Leadership at Arizona State University from 1995 until her retirement in 2008. Prior to this, she taught for twenty-five years in K-12 schools. Currently, she speaks and conducts workshops nationally and internationally on STEM and STEAM Education and how technology can enhance teaching and learning. With fifty years of experience as an educator, numerous awards for teaching excellence, vast knowledge of how to integrate technology in teaching and learning, and an internationally acclaimed Web site (www.alicechristie.org), Dr. Christie presents enlightening, empowering, and relevant workshops and both print and online materials to K-12 educators. She is known for her innovative ideas, the clarity of her written and oral presentations, and her willingness to share her ideas with other educators. She is a Google Certified Teacher and a Google Certified Innovator.

Dr. Christie's constructivist classroom is characterized as innovative, student-centered, technology-infused, learn by doing, with high expectations for herself and her students.
