TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Sixteen years experience teaching special education. Teaching experiences includes self-contained non-diploma bound students as well as inclusion. I am presently a special education resource teacher in Baltimore County. I provide staff development for teachers, parents, administrators and related services providers. Worked with students with Autism, and significant cognitive deficits. Modified academic learning standards to enable students with special needs (i.e. learning disabilities, Autism, Down Syndrome) to access grade-level curriculum.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I have been a special education teacher in the Baltimore County Public School System for the past sixteen years. I tutor students in reading, math and written language. I am also extremely involved in youth ministry. Enabling students with special needs to benefit from curriculum standards is one of my greatest passions. My eighteen year old son and I are proud residents of Baltimore County.
