TEACHING EXPERIENCE

This is my 8th year teaching. Although I have taught in a public school, the majority of my career has been spent in a private, independent, Catholic school. I have taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades. My time in 4th grade was spent with a compartmentalized team where I specialized in 4th grade Literacy and Math.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Visitors to my classroom would describe me as a very animated, funny teacher. I am a very hands-on teacher and many times I am on the floor learning right along side my students!

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a BA degree in Communications from the University of Colorado. I also have a Masters of Education and licensure from Regis University.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I am happily married with four boys, two daughters-in-law, and two grandchildren. My store name is a nod to our classroom turtle, Sheldon. I chose to launch this store to help pay for my passion for ballroom dancing. Lessons, competitions, and costumes are very pricey! Follow me on instagram at teacher_in_a_half_shell
